The youth in particular are especially unhappy.

It is especially not surprising that young people are miserable. Politics 101: “It’s the economy, stupid”… you can heap any and all forms of injustice and evil on a populace but if they can’t afford to fill their homes and garages with new shit, watch out.

I was witness to this during the Reagan years. Ronny Raygun convinced the moron masses to defund The Post Office, restart The Cold War, embrace deficit spending, destroy our Bill of Rights and “trickle down” on the Middle Class and Poor while creating a mega-rich, uppper-class.

The masses loved getting trickled upon and if they could exhume Reagan, turn him into a marionette and animate him with recordings of his old speeches, they would vote for him again.

Despite the obvious inequality of Trickle-Down Economics, you can make it work a little bit but only for a little while until the super-rich figure out ways to get it all.
