The Pentagon is claiming that US forces did not commit war crimes in Syria when they bombed a bunch of women and children back in 2019.

US troops DIDN'T commit war crimes or deliberately cause civilian deaths during airstrikes on Syria in 2019 https://t.co/cgX9aZ3jZu

They were forced to conduct this sham of an investigation after information related to all the women and children they killed was reported by The New York Times of all places.

The New York Times details the operations of top secret unit Talon Anvil, which committed dozens upon dozens of war crimes in Syria.

Talon Anvil is the unit that massacred around 70 women and children in the Baghuz strikes on March 18, 2019 https://t.co/0hIqwpdLn0

Pentagon, again, investigates itself to find that it did not do anything wrong when it killed 19 people in an airstrike in Syria.

The killed mostly "were probably Islamic State fighters" according to military accused of concealing who it killed.https://t.co/KcdGfOrzXm pic.twitter.com/8O3db5uJAm

A Pentagon probe concluded that US troops did not violate the law of war or deliberately cause civilian casualties in a 2019 air strike in Syria that killed dozens of people, including women and childrenhttps://t.co/0g0ghbeYDo

Shocking that the Pentagon would conclude that they did nothing wrong. This is like a criminal being allowed to be the judge, jury and prosecuting attorney in his own trial.

This entire system is evil and unaccountable. They’re able to murder women and children and face no consequences.

The US has committed many war crimes from WW2, Vietnam, Iraq, Afganistan but nobody is big enough to stop them. An awesome book is Kill Anything that Moves by Nick Turse. Read about the evil General Julian Ewell and Operation Speedy Express.
