“It was an honest mistake."

The US drone attack in Kabul that killed 10 civilians, including seven children, did not violate the laws of war, a Pentagon review concludes https://t.co/C6ErXBcbwx pic.twitter.com/J27U6usQNV

Air Force Lt. Gen. Sami Said says “evidence of a child was apparent” two minutes before U.S. military launched a drone strike that killed innocent civilians and children in Kabul before U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

But he says the evidence was “100% not obvious.” pic.twitter.com/Ythnlx4eEH

That’s great. So if you ever end up killing a bunch of kids, just say it was an honest mistake and you will be able to go about your business as if nothing ever happened.

Of course, this review is a total joke. The Pentagon is not going to accept blame for any wrongdoing. Why would they do that? Nobody ever takes accountability for any of the evil that is happening. It’s always blamed on someone else or as in this case, they just say it was an “honest mistake.”

It was like after George W. Bush killed a million people in Iraq. He just said “mistakes were made” and he was never held accountable for his massive war crimes.

The only time anybody is punished is if they expose how the system itself is inherently bad and evil. Like that Marine Officer who demanded accountability for the Afghanistan failure. He has received more punishment than the people who killed these children.
