I survived, never was I a victim

In the early 1990s the White Sox changed their colors from navy and red to black and silver. I broke my Opa’s heart choosing a Sox tri-color hat over a Cubs hat in Northwestern Station. He bought me a White Sox coat even when he feared I would be robbed of it. His fears came true. I was attacked by MS 13s. Nearly died. I looked like help. Mom said I didn’t need to go to school but I did. I wanted to let them know that I will never bow down and that I survived! Got my Sox coat 3 months later. Build the wall, deport them all!!
