The “Holocaust” narrative requires that the Germans got their Topf triple-muffle ovens to cremate at more than three times their actual mass burning rate whilst consuming fuel at around 1/20th of their actual consumption rate, and all of that whilst extending the firebrick lifetime by more than ten times.
In 1941 the Topf double-muffle oven at Gusen is known to have attained a cremation time of around 50 minutes per corpse per muffle, when running continuously and consuming 30.6 kg of coke per corpse.
The Topf triple-muffle, on which most of the cremations at Auschwitz-Birkenau were performed, had only two gasifier hearths for its three muffles. This means that in theory some saving in fuel consumption was possible, but at the cost of lengthier cremation times. In particular, the final muffle did not benefit from the semi-direct heating of the other two muffles, which received the 283 kJ released per mole of CO burned, as fresh combustion air entered the muffle and CO from the gasifier burned to completion to form CO2.
Given the relatively lengthy cremation times required in the final muffle, one hour per body per muffle is the best realistic average cremation time attainable, which is corroborated by testimony from Topf engineers who designed and maintained the ovens.
On March 4, 1946, Topf engineer Karl Schultze said (under interrogation), “Five ovens were in two crematoria, and three corpses were introduced in each oven [one in each muffle], i.e., there were three openings (muffles) in each oven. In one crematorium with five ovens [and fifteen muffles], one could incinerate fifteen corpses in one hour.”
The following day his colleague Karl Prüfer, who had designed Birkenau’s triple-muffle and eight-muffle ovens, was asked how many corpses could be cremated per hour in an Auschwitz crematorium. He replied, “In a crematorium that had five ovens and fifteen muffles, one cremated fifteen corpses in an hour.”
Given the downtimes of the Birkenau ovens, they would have needed to cremate at a rate of 3.2 corpses per hour, i.e., 18.75-minute cremations per muffle, which is 220% faster than their actual rate, in order to cremate one million corpses. That supposes that the three double-muffle ovens of Auschwitz I could have disposed of 100,000 bodies, which is already far too generous to HoloHoaxers. And although some Hoaxers claim ‘only’ 1.1 million “murdered” at Auschwitz, the Jewish Virtual Library, for example, alleges that the figure is “somewhere between 2.1 million to 4 million”.
But the Hoaxer not only requires greatly speeded up mass burning rates, he also (at the same time!) needs a vastly reduced fuel consumption from 30.6 kg of coke per corpse in continuous cremations or 47.9 kg of coke per corpse in semi-continuous cremations at Gusen down to lower than 2 kg of coke per corpse at Auschwitz Birkenau, just as if Jews were made of plastic.
Over a period of 20.3 months from February 16, 1942 to October 25, 1943, the coke deliveries to Auschwitz-Birkenau, as detailed on some 240 delivery notes and corroborated to five significant figures by calculations from German civilian engineer Rudolf Jährling, was 1,037 tons. That’s an average of 51 tons per month.
In his letter of March 17, 1943, Jährling made an estimate of 7,840 kg of coke daily for all 46 Birkenau muffles, Krema II to V (for a 12-hr day). And the total coke deliveries for the one-year period over March 1942 to February 1943 inclusive, when the six muffles of Auschwitz I were in existence, is documented as 373.5 tons. In both cases, that equates to 5.1875 tons per muffle per month.
(7,840 / 46) x (365.242 / 12) = 5,187.5 kg
373,500 / (6 x 12) = 5,187.5 kg
The probability of a 5-figure match by sheer coincidence is 1 in 100,000.
The alleged “exterminations” at Auschwitz were supposedly perpetrated some time between a decision to “exterminate” at the Wannsee Conference of January 20, 1942, and the final dismantling of the cremation ovens towards the end of November 1944, i.e., a maximum period of 34 months. An average of 51 tons monthly over the 20.3-month period for which coke deliveries are documented, amounts to 1,734 tons over 34 months.
Thus, 2,000 tons is a more than generous extrapolation over that 34 months. 2,000 tons divided by the marginally less outrageous Hoaxer claim of ‘only’ 1.1 million “murdered” amounts to 1.8 kg of coke per corpse, which is ~1/22 of the known mean consumption of 39.25 kg per corpse for continuous and semi-continuous cremations at Gusen.
If the 46 muffles of Birkenau had been required to dispose of ‘only’ one million bodies, that requires that an average of 21,739 cremations were performed per muffle. There is no evidence that any of the Birkenau ovens ever had firebrick replacements. This compares with the expected lifetime of 2,000 cremations per muffle before firebrick replacement became necessary. Moreover, given that the eight-muffle oven of Krema IV was only operative for ~50 days before suffering irreversible damage and having to be shut down permanently, the remaining ovens would have needed to perform nearly 26,000 cremations per muffle.
A human body is mostly comprised of water by mass. Moreover, bones do not burn, but must be calcined in order to be readily ground into ash, as required by any hypothetical evil mass murderers anxious to eliminate “the evidence”. Calcining bones requires that fresh combustion air continues to be supplied for at least half an hour, with all of that air having to be heated to 850° C. (You could go down to 600° C, but at the cost of lengthening cremation time to seven hours.)
Hoaxers claim that simultaneously stuffing up to eight bodies continuously into muffles designed to cremate one body at a time could somehow deliver the vast improvement in cremation performance that they so desperately need to make their allegations stick. However, this is refuted by modern animal cremators and incinerators, which, despite simultaneous disposal of animal carcasses, cannot attain anywhere near the required performance of the supernatural Topf ovens of Birkenau.
If you put more water in your kettle, it takes longer to boil and requires more electricity or gas to do so. The mythical “Holocaust” narrative features the equivalent of kettles that consume twenty times less fuel when boiling more than three times the volume of water.
