Gold soars as Moscow intercepts Berlin Air Force generals' discussion on attacking Crimean Bridge

On Thursday, the gold price “leapt” to $2050. Putin threatening NATO with nuclear war was cited as an influencing factor.

On Friday, over the last six hours, gold has soared to $2088. The Russians have intercepted audio of German air force generals discussing operational and targeting details of long-range Taurus missiles that Germany was considering sending to Ukraine.

There was discussion of how Berlin could resort to “tricks” to maintain plausible deniability, such as relying on plain-clothes people in Ukraine with an American accent. Also under discussion was the Crimean bridge, where it was noted that the bridge was sturdy enough that not even 20 missiles would destroy it.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova is demanding an immediate explanation from Germany. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that the German officers were well aware that they were discussing direct involvement. Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said that Germans had turned again into Russia’s “archenemies”.

The complete audio intercept was published on RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan’s Telegram channel.

I would suggest that Russia announce that any more attacks on the Crimean bridge, or blowing up of pipelines, will be met with an attack on the Channel Tunnel, flooding it with seawater and causing irreparable damage.
