FBI Says They Can't Reveal Las Vegas Shooter's Motive Until October 2018

Months later, we still have no explanation as to why a man named Stephen Paddock just decided to randomly shoot a bunch of people at a country music concert. The FBI is saying we won't get answers until late next year. This reeks of a cover up.

I'm a bit confused. Why is it going to take until October 2018 to reveal what the Las Vegas shooter's motive was? Why is this such a complicated thing? If this was just the act of a lone gunman named Stephen Paddock who went nuts, why not just come out with this information? This whole thing reeks of a massive cover up. It should not take this long to reveal what the motive of the shooter was.

Fox News:

Want to finally know why Stephen Paddock gunned down 58 people in Las Vegas in early October?

Be prepared to wait a while – possibly until next October – the chief of the FBI’s Las Vegas office revealed this week during an interview in which he said the agency probably wouldn’t brief the public until their report is released sometime before the tragedy’s first anniversary.

“Now that’s a long time for some people, but speaking for the FBI, that’s light speed, all right?” Special Agent in Charge Aaron Rouse told the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Wednesday.

Rouse said reports from other agencies investigating the mass shooting will be released at different times, but the FBI’s one is “focusing a large part on the why” which is “what everybody wants to know.”

Remember the 9/11 attacks? We were told who did the attacks and what the motivation was within an hour. Quite the discrepancy here I would say!

Of course, like the 9/11 attacks there’s all sorts of questions about what happened and not a ton of solid answers. The media has done their best to memory hole this entire story since we never got any real answers on why the shooter did what he is alleged to have done.

But at this point, there is absolutely no reason to believe what the FBI’s ultimate explanation will be. The entire process has been in question and that’s why there’s no reason to believe whatever they come up with.

If I had to guess, it looks as if this Paddock character was an asset who was setup to be the fall guy for this operation. That is not going to be the explanation offered by the FBI. It is fairly certain that whatever they offer won’t be anything remotely related to the truth.

Thankfully nobody was hurt or killed during this charade

Yeah, they’ll release the “motive” right before the mid-term elections - to hammer home the point that the shooter was a violent, White, Nazi Republican.

They’ll find a “motive” (random) for a violent Muslim or black - but take a year on this one.

I agree, that Las Vegas “massacre” looked like a scene from the set of a poorly directed Steven Seagal action movie. NOT BUYING IT.

Golly, why don’t they cut out the middleman. You don’t hire a hairdresser to landscape your garden. Get a man in, pay a little extra and get the job done right. When you want a CIA tier coverup get the CIA to do it.

The take away from the article is if you don’t trust the validity of a process, don’t the believe results. Certainly the FBI could improve public trust by not talking down the public. But I don’t believe really care if there is a great deal of public distrust of the agency. They simply are hoping to win the optics battle in eyes of a sufficient number of the more naive members of the public.

Maybe one day they will tell us the truth about “lone” gunman and how much they paid the actors.
