These sanctions have been useless. They’ve actually strengthened the ruble because now Russia is demanding payment for their energy in rubles from unfriendly countries.
This story here is an admission that the sanctions have totally failed. They were always a stupid idea and have ended up hurting the West more than Russia. Numerous European countries can’t function without Russia’s energy supplies.
