After 8chan got banned from Cloudflare, they immediately attempted to move the site over to use Bitmitigate an alternative ddos protection service. This is the same service that the Daily Stormer has been using to maintain a presence on the normal Internet.

Unfortunately, when 8chan moved over to Bitmitigate, the outrage machine went after them which has brought down all of their customers including the Daily Stormer.

UPDATE: Looks like @voxility just cut off all of Bitmitigate's prefix at their edge routers, shutting down not only their customers but Epik's corporate systems.

If you want more details, the entire fiasco is being discussed across various technology websites and blogs like Ars Technica and others.

So as it stands now, the only way you can access the Daily Stormer right now is via the Tor browser.

Alternatively, the Brave browser offers the ability for users to open up tabs that allow you to connect to the Tor network. So it effectively achieves the same result.

We are reaching a point where it may no longer be possible to maintain any sort of dissident media operation on the normal Internet. Anybody wishing to continue reading dissident materials needs to get used to using Tor immediately.

The DS link does not work - does Tor have to be dowloaded or something to get it to work?

Yes. Download Tor and the Brave browser – all free, btw – and then you should be able to visit DS using the onion address. When you have Brave installed, & Tor, you can open a Brave page & click in the upper right hand corner (on the 3 horizontal lines) and select “New private window with Tor”; at that point all you need is the address which is above in Lee’s OP. Let me know if you still have problems after this.

DS seems to be back up at .name.

Tor is easy, it’s just so f-ing slow. Pedos and drug dealers must have infinite amounts of free time.
