China Intercepts US Air Force Plane in South China Sea

The Pentagon released footage of what they say is a Chinese fighter jet intercepting one of their surveillance planes that was flying over the South China Sea.

They are saying it was unnecessarily aggressive.

They have also vowed to continue these types of provocative surveillance flights.

What would the US say if the Chinese were flying military aircraft around the Gulf of Mexico, Guam or Hawaii? They would be angry and accuse the Chinese of provoking conflict.

The only reason for these US military activities in the South China Sea is to deliberately agitate and provoke the Chinese. Saying that you are in international waters or whatever doesn’t change the provocative nature of what they are doing. Especially between this and all the nonsense we’ve seen them pull with Taiwan.
