I think he probably had only a stubby pencil & nothing better to write on than perhaps a small paper back book or something.

It’s the spaces between words that shows his emotional level. I think this might be legit but I have never seen his pre-Christchurch writing. I cast doubt on NZ letting this out. As a part of the British Empire err. Commonwealth, censorship is A-ok.
