Apple unveiled their line of iPhone 12 models yesterday and as expected the new phone is just a repackaged product with minimal enhancements. I guess the glass is supposed to be a bit stronger, but that’s one of the only somewhat notable improvements. There are numerous videos on YouTube providing the details if you are curious as to the specifics.

The higher end models are going to cost $999 and $1,099 which is insane. I guess Apple still feels as if they can justify these outrageous prices for a commodity product just based on brand recognition alone.

I have no idea why anybody would want to buy one of these overpriced gadgets. Especially as we are in the middle of a depression caused by the coronavirus hoax and subsequent lockdowns.

Of course, the average person is really stupid so there will be people who buy this phone with money that they don’t have. But considering the circumstances, I don’t think the iPhone 12 is going to do very well.

Apple is in my view one of the most overvalued companies in all of history. Their reliance on selling unlimited new iPhone models will fail. They won’t be able to do this forever.

Apple has the high end cornered, just like with their PC’s, I know lawyers and bankers and almost none of them will even consider an Android , the other thing is most people buy these on 2yr contracts and pay 50bucks a month which includes internet and calls.

It’s fairly hilarious how some people consider owning an iPhone some sort of status symbol.

That’s true in away but the other significant component is imessage and facetime, it’s extremely popular in certain circles and of course its not available for any other platform, there were rumours of Apple opening it up to windows and android but it never happened.

Personally I’m fine with either ios or android, I’ve owned both for years but I do think Apple is the lesser of two evils…
