Should have fired her with a phone call at home and then been on the lookout and notified security in case she showed up.
Many companies now fire employees off the premises, lock them out of the building immediately, tell them two ARMED security guards will meet them in the parking lot, not to get out of their car, their stuff will be handed to them, and if they try to come back onto the property again, they will be arrested for trespassing. This is what my daughters (large) company does.
Too many companies have had employees come back with guns and go on killing sprees.
