Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has just made a surprise visit to a Russian air base in Syria. He was there to congratulate the Russian military on their victory and meet with Syrian leader Bashar Al-Assad.
Putin has also ordered a partial withdrawal of Russian troops from Syria. Unlike the many American military misadventures we have seen over the past several decades, Assad requested Russian military assistance in their battle against Islamic terrorists.
