Two polls show Marine Le Pen's party more popular than Macron

In two polls of voting intentions for the May 2019 European elections, Marine Le Pen’s “hard-right” Rassemblement National party is ahead of Emmanuel Macron’s La République en Marche.

One poll has the RN with 24% of voting intentions (up four percentage points from a previous poll in October and two points from last month) and LREM at 18% (down two points from October and one point from last month).

Another survey has RN at 21%, with Macron’s party at 20%.

In the second (BVA) poll, voters were asked what they thought of the EU. 51% called for a “deep review” of the European project, 20% said they wanted the bloc to be adapted, and 6% said they wanted things to carry on as they are.
