While the actual results have not been the best, President Trump’s rhetoric on the border wall has been great. To his credit, small sections of the wall have been constructed in places like El Paso, San Diego and Yuma, but it is far from complete. The anti-American actors in the Democrat Party refuse to support funding of the complete wall and have been blocking it in the Senate. This is because of that stupid 60 vote rule.
Today, Trump had a meeting with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to discuss the matter. He set the stage for the meeting with a flurry of tweets and repeated his intention to use the military to build the wall if Democrats block its funding.
Before they spoke privately, POTUS invited the press in with both Pelosi and Schumer. It was quite an interesting encounter. Trump called them out for refusing to fund the border wall. Meanwhile Pelosi and Schumer claimed that they were for border security but claimed a wall was not effective. The exchange was heated but it revealed how dishonest the Democrat position is.
Trump in his opening remarks mentioned how a wall has been very effective in Israel and in the places along the border where it has been built. This is a true statement yet Pelosi and Schumer want people to believe that they can have border security without a wall. But if that’s the case, why did the Israelis build a huge wall? Neither Pelosi or Schumer had anything to say about that.
In the end, Trump declared that he would shut down the government if he didn’t get at least $5 billion for the border wall. This is a completely reasonable demand. Even the $5 billion is a small ask considering the entire project has been estimated to cost anywhere from $15 billion to $25 billion. He should keep the government shut down until he gets the funds he needs.
After their meeting, Schumer and Pelosi reiterated how they wanted border security but without the border wall. They cried about how a government shut down would hurt Americans which is objectively bullshit. Pelosi even said that Trump didn’t know what he was talking about when he said that a wall helps secure the border. The kikery behind these statements is unbelievable.
But at this point, he should just have the military build the damn thing. Why keep wasting time with the kike Schumer and the senile skank Pelosi? They’ll never compromise with him because that would be seen by their base of Marxists lunatics as collaborating with the bad racist orange man Drumpf.
