New Zealand’s government is so corrupt that they have literally threatened to put people in prison for 10 years if they possess a copy of the Brenton Tarrant mosque shooting video. They have also threatened people with 14 years in prison for people who distribute said video.
Looks like they’ve already decided to make an example out of an 18-year-old teen by arresting him and denying him bail for distributing the video clip.
An 18-year-old man was denied bail at a court in New Zealand on Monday after he was charged with distributing a live stream of the mass shooting at a mosque last week, the New Zealand Herald reported.
The man was arrested on Friday, but police have since said they do not believe he was directly involved in the attacks at two mosques in Christchurch which happened on the same day, in which 50 worshippers were killed.
He faces charges of sharing the gunman’s live-stream and posting a photograph of one of the mosques attacked with the message “target acquired” along with other chat messages “inciting extreme violence”, the Herald reported.
His request for bail was refused but the judge granted him name suppression. He is due back in court next month.
Let’s again think about what is happening in New Zealand. They are jailing people for possessing and sharing a piece of video footage. This is completely insane and representative of a totalitarian regime. Regardless of what you think of the Christchurch mosque shooting video itself, it is absolutely news worthy content. If they think it is proper to put people in jail for possessing such video content, than they’ll also have to prosecute anybody who possesses war footage or ISIS execution videos. Generally speaking, these types of clips are far more disturbing and graphic than anything that you see in the mosque shooting footage.
Back in 2015, there was an ISIS execution video showing a captured Jordanian military pilot who was burned alive inside of a cage. This video was unquestionably far more graphic and disturbing than what was shown in the Tarrant GoPro footage. Fox News even published the raw video and it is still online on their website today. They specifically cited how the clip was news worthy and helped give the audience a sense of how barbaric ISIS was. There was no call from the New Zealand government to have anybody who possessed this video to be thrown in jail for 10 years.
Brenton Tarrant shot up a mosque that was literally serving as an Al-Qaeda recruitment center. He basically did the job that the New Zealand government refused to do. What this proves is that the New Zealand government is willfully giving aid and comfort to Islamic terrorists. The fact that they are threatening people with lengthy prison sentences for simply possessing Tarrant’s GoPro footage is further proof that they are aligned with Islamic terrorism.
