There has been endless debate about the role of Easter in Christian theology since the beginning. The first Christians observed the Passover. Basically Easter is nothing more than one of many festivals celebrating the start of spring.

The proper name for what we call ‘Easter’ is Pascha, which is Greek for Passover, the NEW Passover, not the jewish celebration. The old Passover was celebrating the Israelites’ ‘passing over’ the Red Sea. The western churches coined the name Easter from Esther, which was a pagan festival where the blood of a sacrificed virgin was spread on agricultural land to make it more ‘fertile’. This was anything but a ‘nice’ holiday. Why the name Easter is still used is a mystery to me. Of course many of the jew run western churches will never tell you the real reason for Pascha, which is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, which occurred on the Sunday after Passover. Small wonder why this is the real reason jews hate it so much as they to this day reject Jesus and especially the Resurrection. Modern day jews are actually satanic atheists who deny any notion of an afterlife. Their hatred of this holiday goes back millennia. I believe they missed the boat 2000 years ago and know instinctively they are accursed people, which explains their insane behavior. They have nothing to lose in their minds. Lie, cheat, steal, and kill because this is all there is. In proper Christian theology we no longer celebrate Passover. That is an obsolete event now. The western churches even still coincide their ‘Easter’ with the jewish Passover to this day. In the Eastern Christian Churches such as in Russia, they wait until the Sunday after, indicating the ‘New’ Pascha. The way this is calculated is based on the original lunar calendar, not the solar calendar. Pascha occurs on the first Sunday after the jewish Passover, after the first full moon, after the first day of spring. On some years it works out to be the same Sunday as Easter, but usually it does not and is celebrated on the Sunday after. This is why Easter was on April 1 this year and Pascha is on April 8. I believe it was the Roman Catholic pope of the day that decided to change all this, probably as a means to appease the jews.
