Colts Radio Announcer Fired for Saying Racial Slur

So an 80-year-old man who was the voice of Indianapolis Colts football was fired because he said an off-the-air racial slur.

An off-the-air racial slur prompted the immediate retirement of longtime Indianapolis Colts radio voice Bob Lamey last weekend, team officials and Lamey’s attorney confirmed Wednesday.

Local attorney James Voyles issued a statement acknowledging the 80-year-old Lamey used “inappropriate” language during a conversation with a friend at a local radio station and apologized immediately.

“Bob does want to acknowledge that while repeating a story while off-the-air last week to a friend at a local radio station, he used an inappropriate word that had been used in the story,” Voyles’ statement read. “Bob immediately apologized to the people involved for the comment and would hope that this error in judgment would not tarnish his long-held reputation in the sports community where he has been known as an accurate and passionate reporter.”

A report on a local television’s station website, WTHR.com, claimed an employee at Emmis Communications heard the comment and reported it to the radio station’s human resources department, which then contacted the Colts.

It’s not the first time Lamey’s words have caused controversy. But what happened last week the Colts found intolerable. The announcement of Lamey’s retirement after 31 years with the Colts came Sunday.

What a ridiculous situation. A 31 year career is over because of this.

This guy was with a friend and not on air when he said this racial slur. And it’s not like he was directly calling black people “niggers” over and over again. The context of the comments should have been taken into consideration.

But who the hell are these tattle tale faggots that are reporting on people for saying words they don’t like? Does this make these people feel good?

Getting someone fired from their job because they say things you disagree with is ridiculous. It’s bitch ass fag behavior of epic proportions. This is 1984 type levels of insanity where we have people essentially reporting on others to Big Brother.

We need laws preventing this sort of shit. Tattle tale faggots who do this should be given the death penalty.

I can just see the chain of events. Lamey was joking around with some friends and said some politically incorrect word. Some employee named something like LeDwanario Blovarious ran into the human resources office, and what’s your bet on the color of that one? So Quantarious Johnson says dat white man can’t be sayin dat, he fired!

It’s really getting bad. Last month, USMC Lt. Colonel Marcus Mainz was relieved of his command for using the word “faggot” during a training exercise. Mainz is (or was?) a 17 year well respected veteran of the corps who was highly regarded for his innovative combat tactics. He was definitely four star general material & a potential commandant of the corps. Just more cultural Marxism bullshit. Type in his name on any search engine & you’ll get a shitload of articles about this clusterfuck.

Better that he would have let himself be fired - that would be the likely outcome anyway - and then never, ever apologize in this kind of situation. It makes you look weak, stupid and like the cuck that you are.
